Gedes

This is the first (and possibly last) oil painting I'll ever post on here. I much prefer the immediacy of acrylic paints. Gedes is a god, a god who nearly got lost in the depths of the attic. He was rediscovered when we had our loft re-insulated. I had to liberate him from his frame (for scanning purposes) and was surprised to find the note on the back - I don't remember writing this but it speaks for itself. There are 5 names of people (deceased) to whom my degree show was dedicated to. I also later added Christopher McCandless if memory serves.

Gedes, 17x28cm, Oils, 2009AD. SOLD
