This is my imagining of singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, producer and actor Mike Patton. For those of you who don't know Patton, he is most well known as being the legendary front-man of Faith no More. Heralded by some as 'this generations Frank Zappa', his musical genius, on-stage lunacy, diverse influence and vocal ingenuity is something really quite special. Mike is also known for his many side-projects including Mr. Bungle, Tomahawk, Fantômas, Lovage, The Dillinger Escape Plan, and Peeping Tom. Being fluent in Italian, Patton conceived of what has become my favourite side-project, Mondo Cane; In it he sings Italian pop songs from the 50's and 60's, backed by over 60 musicians including a 40 person strong orchestra, a backing-band and a full choir.
